  1. I am fond of visiting Chinese restaurants occasionally when traveling... if you eat Chinese in your home town, it's a welcome return to the familiar when abroad, when one is occasionally tired of struggling with the local language or unfamiliar foods.
I'm adventurous, but an Irish pub or Chinese restaurant always feel just like at home no matter what country they're in. They're good ambassadors. :)

  2. Oh, and shumai and cha shu bao are my favorites, along with twice-cooked pork. In case you ever want to make it at home. :) http://kitchenconvivial.com/2012/01/08/twice-cooked-pork/
