Singapore, Hong Kong or Bangkok?

Definitely Singapore!!
And now let me explain why for me is definitely Singapore.

When we've decided to relocate in Asia, we've had some options: Singapore, Hong Kong or maybe Bangkok. Some times ago we spent a weekend in Hong Kong and last weekend we did a little trip in Bangkok.

Hong Kong is a very nice city, old and new, restaurants, public transport and lifestyle quite good. The thing that I didn't like was that is too crowdy and chaotic, seems that nobody sleeps in this city.

Sicuramente Singapore!
E ora lasciatemi spiegare perché per me è sicuramente Singapore.

Bangkok, this was a very big adventure for me, since I was flying alone for my first time in Asia. My first time in Thailand and unfortunately do not even crossed my mind that I need a visa. In Singapore they've told me that I don't. So, arrived in Bangkok, after a long queue for Immigration, when was my turn the guy told me: "Oh no, no....you need a visa to enter in Bangkok....." What???? Are you serious??? Oh my God...my fiance' was waiting for me in the airport but I couldn't use my phone to inform him....I was stuck there, not knowing what to do, my phone was dead....I've already saw my self waiting the next flight to go back to Singapore....
After 5-10 minutes that I've tried to use my phone but without any success, scared and agitated,  I've came back to reality, down to earth and I said to myself: "ok Ribana, you have to find a way and get this visa done, you can do it!"
The problem was that the guy from Immigration was very rude and when I've asked him where to go for the visa he didn't want to tell me, he just told me "back, back...", but back, back was a sea of people, waiting for immigration.
In the end, I've found a nice lady that helps me with the documents needed, and after a half an hour I was out of the airport.
Now, I know that is not a soo big deal, but for me was a very big deal, because I was alone, scared, without the possibility to use my phone...and not everybody speaks English in the airport, you have to find the right person.
Anyway after this experience I've learned that before leaving I need to check if I need a visa or not, and even when I need it, I just have to keep calm and have money!

However Bangkok is one of a "must-see" cities in the world! This weekend was not soo safe to move because of the anti-government protests, but we've still visited Wat Pho, the Temple of Reclining Buddha, Grand Palace, some other temples, we did a long ride with the tuk-tuk (sooo nice) and a very long boat ride, where we saw the way they live in the old wooden houses, a small floating market, the people smiling....everything soo amazing!!

Both, Hong Kong and Bangkok are very nice cities to visit, full of tradition, but much too crowdy and chaotic to live. So for me, Singapore is the right choice! I'm glad when I come back to Singapore and they tell me "Welcome back to Singapore, Ribana!"
